...about design matters
Can you put my brochure online?
Yes, although I would recommend tailoring it to the medium
rather than expecting the same content to work as well on the web as
it does on paper. The usual procedure is to create a site that has
the same overall look as the company's brochure, but using the added
benefits that the web can offer.

How can I be sure I'll like your design?
Before starting, I'll meet with you and discuss the overall "look
and feel" of the site. While working, I publish draft copies of
the site on my own webspace for you to preview. Thus you can keep an
eye on progress, and you are free to make suggestions at any time.

Should I have a splash page or Flash introduction?
It's just annoying to wait for a page to download, only
to find that it simply invites you to "click to enter". If
you're interested in having a usable site, don't have a splash page.
Generally speaking, Flash intros are not a good idea
either. Most people just click the "skip intro" link anyway.
The whole point of a website is to give useful information, after all
- and a Flash intro usually doesn't achieve that.
Having said which, I did produce a series of Flash intros
for a family of websites. They're only 5 seconds long, and they were
used for good reasons (that I won't go into here). You can find them
in my portfolio.
What application do you use to write websites?
Several applications, actually - but the main ones are
Macromedia's Dreamweaver and Fireworks.

I've seen an animated email link that I like. Can
I have this on my site?
If you insist, then you can have whatever you like. However,
I will always advise you if I think something really doesn't belong
on your site - and this would always apply to animated email links!
