...advice on submitting your CV
Let me start by saying that I am not generally in a position to
offer web design work. However, I do get so many job enquiries
- some good, some bad - that I thought it might be worth offering
some general advice for applicants to any company.
Please follow this advice if you wish to send your details to
Dot Web Design.
Spelling, punctuation and grammar
If these aren't perfect, your application won't get read. Check
everything before sealing the envelope or clicking the "send" button.
Email attachments
I simply won't open unsolicited email attachments, and I doubt
that I am alone in adopting this policy. Please don't send attachments.
It is far better to include a link to your online CV in your email.
Be brief
Don't waffle on. Your letter will be judged on the quality of
its content, not on its length. Keep it short and relevant.
