...about setting up a website

When sending an enquiry about setting up a website, it would be very helpful if you could include some or all of these details.

• The main purpose of the site (e-commerce or online sales, brochure site, etc.)
• Who the site is aimed at (public, trade, etc.)
• Do you already have a name for your site?
  • If so, do you have a logo, colour palette and/or brand identity?
  • If not, would the design of these be included in the work?
• If e-commerce:
  • are you already trading, for example by mail order or from retail premises?
  • what sort of goods are being sold?
  • how many categories of product, and how many product lines?
  • do you require secure online ordering with facilities to take credit card payments?
• If a "brochure", information or publicity site:
  • what information do you want to show on the site?
  • do you have text and images for the site?
  • please give an outline of the main sections of the website.
• If you already have a website and require a redesign:
  • what aspects of the current site are you happy with?
  • what aspects do you wish to change?
• If you are thinking of setting up a website that is very similar to an existing site such as YouTube or eBay, please give an outline of why people should use your site instead (for example, it may be aimed at a niche market or specific profession.)
• Have you already registered a domain name for the site? If so:
  • what is it?
  • have you arranged website hosting?
• Your location.
• Are you an individual, sole trader, limited company, etc.?
• A rough idea of your budget for setting up the website.
